Thinking of our supporters during this difficult time
Dear supporters of A Child for All,
We hope all of you are staying safe and positive during this difficult time.
Like everyone around the world, the Board and the volunteers of A Child for All (“ACFA”) are monitoring the situation closely and taking precautions and following the guidelines. Also, for the foreseeable future, all domestic and international travel for the ACFA team is canceled.
COVID-19 has hit Mali as well, but we have taken steps to protect the children in our care. Schools are closed in Mali and all gatherings are canceled. In addition, we have stopped the at-home tutoring and sporting events of the children at ACFA. Luckily, the children and staff are well at this time. We are taking special care to ensure our children are practicing social distancing and maintaining good hygiene. Fortunately, the children have two sewing machines at the home in Bamako and, thanks to a donor in the U.S. who had contributed fabric at the end of last year, the children were able to sew their own face masks! See the photos below of Lassine washing his hands and his twin brother, Adama, at the sewing machine.
We urge you to wash your hands often, maintain social distancing, and stay safe. Our thoughts are with you and your loved ones!
