Diakassan Speaks Out for International Day of the Girl

Translation:

My name is Diakassan. I am in 9th grade in school.

I am going to talk to you about the difficulties in our community. Amongst the most frequent ones there is inequality of gender in our families and learning environments with favoritism towards the masculine gender.

We also face sexual abuses- physicals and mentals, rapes, forced marriages, and unwanted pregnancies.

I dream of becoming an accounting manager and if possible to be a freelancer, work independently. If Allah wishes.
