A Memorable Day at the U.S. Embassy for ACFA Children

On September 7th, 2024 A Child for All (ACFA) children had a special visit with the Marines at the U.S. Embassy in Bamako, Mali.

The Ambassador herself greeted the children.  The day's activities were a blend of fun and learning. The children and Marines enjoyed a variety of games, including soccer and tug-of-war. The highlight for many was a competitive soccer match between six Marines and all of the children—a match full of laughter and friendly competition. Following the games, everyone took a much-needed snack break before diving into more activities, including an explanation of military equipment, which fascinated the children.

After the outdoor fun, the group moved inside for a relaxing movie session. The children were treated to a showing of Ice Age, a perfect choice to unwind after the energetic games. The day concluded with a meal, providing time for the children to reflect on their experiences and enjoy the company of their peers and the embassy staff.

ACFA extends its heartfelt thanks to the U.S. Embassy and everyone involved in coordinating this special visit. It was an unforgettable day for the ACFA children, filled with smiles, new experiences, and lasting memories.
